Show all documents We have theoretically investigated the temperature dependent wavelength shift of the AWG depends on the refractive indices of the materials and the size of the waveguide. A thermalization of the AWG can be realized by selecting proper values of the material and structural parameters of the device. We have taken into account the increased number of transmitted channels within DWDM technique over a thermal planar AWG of hybrid materials. The thermal effects of different hybrid materials employed in the fabrication of AWG are studied deeply and parametrically for the good performance of such AWG. With the development of optical networks and the use of Wavelength Division Multiplexing WDM technology, a new and a very crucial milestone is being reached in network evolution.
