Dr Mohan Z Mani "Thank you very much for having published my article in record time. I would like to compliment you and your entire staff for your promptness, courtesy, and willingness to be customer friendly, which is quite unusual. I was given your reference by a colleague in pathology, and was able to directly phone your editorial office for clarifications. I would particularly like to thank the publication managers and the Assistant Editor who were following up my article. I would also like to thank you for adjusting the money I paid initially into payment for my modified article, and refunding the balance. Somashekhar Nimbalkar "Over the last few years, we have published our research regularly in Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research. Having published in more than 20 high impact journals over the last five years including several high impact ones and reviewing articles for even more journals across my fields of interest, we value our published work in JCDR for their high standards in publishing scientific articles.

The rising incidence and prevalence of low back pain constitutes a major public health issue in our society today, with widespread economic, physiologic, and psychological costs. It is now the most common cause of job-related disability and a main reason for lost time at work [ 2 , 6 , 7 ]. The causes of this modern epidemic are many, but the sedentary lifestyle of the modern working human—characterized by prolonged periods of sitting and a lack of exercise—is likely a major contributor [ 4 ]. It is known that prolonged sitting is detrimental to the maintenance of proper spinal alignment and stability, but mechanical loading of the spine during sitting and standing is still not well understood. We have also come to understand that prolonged sitting causes lumbar flexion, reversing normal lordosis and leading to increased compressive, static segmental loading over time [ 3 ]. Callaghan and McGill also found that sitting results in significantly higher compressive loads in the low back than standing does [ 3 ]. Spinal structure is designed to maintain upright posture, absorb shock, and accommodate bipedal gait through three normal curves: cervical lordosis, thoracic kyphosis, and lumbar lordosis.

We present the movement control approach as part of the treatment-based classification system. This approach proposes a movement control schema that clarifies that movement control is a product of the interplay among multiple biopsychosocial components. The schema illustrates that for movement to occur in a dynamically controlled fashion, the lumbar spine requires both local mobility and global stability. Local mobility means that the lumbar spine and its adjacent regions possess adequate nerve and joint s mobility and soft tissue compliance ie, the malleability of tissue to undergo elastic deformation. Global stability means that the muscles of the lumbar spine and its adjacent regions can generate activation that is coordinated with various joint movements and incorporated into activities of daily living. Local mobility and global stability are housed within the bio-behavioral and socio-occupational factors that should be addressed during movement rehabilitation.

Movement, Stability & Lumbopelvic Pain

The human pelvis has become a focus for a considerable amount of new research, which is relevant to manual therapy practice. In particular, movement within the pelvis is now being recognized and studied in relation to its role in maintaining stability in the vertebral column and subsequent implications for the prevention and treatment of low back pain. This important subject area is covered in depth in this new edition. The contributors represent the breadth of professionals involved in manual therapy, from osteopathy, chiropractic and manual physical therapy, to orthopaedic medicine and surgery, anaesthesia and pain control. The muscular, ligamentous and neural structure of the lumbosacrum and its relationship to low back pain, FH Willard 2.

Margaret A. Lumbopelvic stability LPS is regarded as important for injury prevention, yet there are few reliable or valid tests that can be used in the clinical assessment of LPS. To develop rating criteria for three clinical tests of LPS. Qualitative research: focus group.

Створки давили на плечо с неимоверной силой. Не успел Стратмор ее остановить, как она скользнула в образовавшийся проем. Он попытался что-то сказать, но Сьюзан была полна решимости.

Development of Clinical Rating Criteria for Tests of Lumbopelvic Stability
